What is WhatsApp?
WhatsApp is excellent for free calls to other people who also have WhatsApp. What it can't do is call an ordinary phone number (a landline, a hotel front desk, a clinic, an office, a hotline), because both sides need the app and an internet connection.

Tokly vs WhatsApp: FAQ
- Can WhatsApp call a landline?
- No. WhatsApp only connects to other WhatsApp users over the internet. To call a landline or any regular phone number, you need a service that bridges to the phone network. That's what Tokly does, straight from your browser.
- When should I use Tokly instead of WhatsApp?
- Use WhatsApp for free calls to people who have it. Use Tokly when you need to reach a real phone number (a business, an office, a hotel, a hotline, or family who don't use WhatsApp) at a low per-minute rate.
